What: A 400-mile mountain-to-sea exploration of Virginia's water resources and the committed people who work to protect them.
Who: Laurel (Woodworth) Williamson, is a Stormwater and Watershed Planner with the Center for Watershed Protection. She is from Stuarts Draft, VA and lives in Charlottesville. She was joined on this walk (and sometimes paddle) by family, friends, and co-workers.
Why: Laurel took this trek out of her own interest to learn more about her home state and to learn from the collective wisdom of others who have worked for years to protect their home waters.
When: May 9 – June 18, 2012
Where: Start at Narrows, VA and ended on Cedar Island on teh Atlantic side of the Eastern Shore. To see a map of the approximate route, click here.
